The Proactive Parent provides science-based parent coaching and behavioral support using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Services are designed to help caregivers better understand behavior, develop effective parenting systems, and confidently implement behavioral strategies within everyday family life.
-
Traditional ABA programs often involve multiple staff members, high treatment hours, and direct therapy provided by behavior technicians.
Our model works differently. We focus on directly coaching and supporting caregivers so they can implement behavioral strategies themselves within real-life routines and environments. This allows services to be more flexible, lower intensity, and often more affordable than traditional ABA programs.
-
No. Services are caregiver-mediated and focus on coaching, assessment, treatment planning, and live caregiver implementation support.
Parents and caregivers remain the primary implementers of behavioral strategies, while the BCBA provides guidance, coaching, feedback, and program development.
-
At this time, services are private pay only. This allows for greater flexibility, reduced treatment restrictions, and individualized support without insurance limitations.
We are also currently working toward participation in the Florida Step Up for Students homeschool scholarship marketplace.

We focus heavily on:
teaching replacement skills,
strengthening positive behavior,

Some families experiencing aggression, self-injury, or other severe behavioral challenges may still benefit from services when clinically appropriate for outpatient parent-mediated support.
However, higher levels of care or additional providers may sometimes be recommended depending on safety concerns and clinical needs.
